لاول مرة في العراق جامعة البصرة تنشأ مزرعة لتأمين احتياجات الطلبة مجانا
ذكر مساعد رئيس الجامعة للشؤون الادارية في جامعة البصرة الدكتور ساجد سعد حسن ان الجامعة انشأت مزرعة لسد احتياجات طالبات الاقسام الداخلية في جامعة البصرة من الخضروات مثل الطماطة والخيار وغيرها. مشيرا ان هذا المشروع من اهم المشاريع التي تبنتها الجامعة لهذا العام وهو مشروع غير ربحي يهدف الى سد احتياجات الطالبات الساكنات في الاقسام الداخلية لتوفير الوقت والعبأ المادي على الطالبات خصوصا وان هذه المزرعة ستنشأ بالقرب من مواقع سكن الطالبات. وتابع المساعد ان هذا العام شهد تطورا كبيرا في مجال تقديم الخدمات لطلبة الاقسام الداخلية ومنها اعتماد نظام البصمة في حضور وغياب الطلبة حرصا من الجامعة على سلامتهم وكذلك تم استحداث مختبر للحاسبات لتوفير خدمة الانترنت للطلبة بعد الدوام الرسمي تماشيا مع توجهات وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي.

Male Assistant Rector for Administrative Affairs at the University of Basra, Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan said that the university has set up a farm to meet the needs of students dormitories at Basra University of vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers and others. He pointed out that this project is one of the most important projects adopted by the university this year, a non-profit project that aims to meet the needs of students inhabitants in the dormitories to save time and Alabo material to the students, especially that this farm will be established near the student housing sites. He plugin that this year saw a major development in the field of providing services to students dormitories including the adoption of fingerprint system in the presence and absence of students in order from the university for their safety as well as the development of lab computers to provide Internet service to students after the official working hours in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
